Reginald Andrew “Bop” Peterson, Sr., 77, of Coatesville, PA passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at the Brandywine Hospital.
A life-long resident of Coatesville, he was the son of the late Alfred Peterson, Sr. and Mary F. (Bradford) Peterson. He was the husband of the late Sandra Irene Peterson.
Reggie was employed as a crane operator at the former Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, playing pinochle, and cooking. He also enjoyed watching his favorite Philadelphia sports teams: the Phillies and the Eagles. Reggie was known to be funny, always telling jokes and stories. He was very giving and was particular about his appearance. Most of all he loved his family.
Reggie is also survived by daughter, Teresa Conteh (Santigie); son, Anthony V. Peterson; granddaughters, Tyra Wray, Magdalena Rivera, Imani Najay Gray Peterson; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Regina Legree, Geraldine Turner (Claude); aunt, Geraldine B. Proctor; special friends, Ronnette Shelton, Leroy Cockren, Brown Cochran, Joe Sims and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Reggie was preceded in death by two sons, Reginald Peterson, Jr. and Martin A. Peterson.
Reggie was loved and respected as the patriarch of the Peterson family. His presence will be greatly missed. We will forever cherish his memory in our hearts.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11 AM, Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA. A visitation with the family we be held at 10:30 AM until the start of the service.
