Priscilla Elizabeth Thompson, 96, of Coatesville, PA, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Harrison Senior Living facility in Coatesville. Born in West Chester, PA., she was the daughter of the late Harry Thomas and Marine Flowers Thomas. She was the wife of the late Alfred W. Thompson, Sr. with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.
While raising her family Priscilla worked as a food service worker at the Coatesville VA Hospital for four years.
She enjoyed playing bingo, getting the paper every day, doing crossword puzzles and watching game shows. She also enjoyed taking care of her African violets and her many cats and dogs. She enjoyed listening to music. Her favorite song was “One in a Million”. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family including her many grandchildren who affectionately called her mom-mom.
Priscilla is survived by one daughter, Priscilla Snead (Jessie) of Coatesville, PA.; 14 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; 53 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her siblings: Marine Butcher and Lawrence Thomas; sons, Alfred Thompson Jr. and Leon Thompson; daughter, Marine Eubanks; grandsons, Marvin Tucker and Scott Eubanks; granddaughter, Crystal Thompson and a great-grandson, Terrell Bowman.
She will be greatly missed. Her memory will remain forever in our hearts!
Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, September 24, 2018, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 819 Coates Street, Coatesville, Pennsylvania. The viewing will begin at 9 AM until the service time.
Interment will be held in Rolling Green Memorial Park, West Chester, PA.
