Myrtle R. Butterman

Myrtle Rebecca Butterman, 97, of Downingtown, PA., passed away Friday, July 28, 2017, at Pocopson Home in West Chester, PA. Born in West Chester, PA., she was the daughter of the late Horace Riggins and Bertha A. (Wilson) Riggins. She was the wife of the late Wilbur Elroy Butterman, and the grandmother of Tracey Butterman.

She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lionville, PA. where she was baptized March 13, 1958 by the Rev. H. Raymond Jones. 

For many years, Myrtle worked as a Manager at Whitford Florist in Exton, PA.  She loved working with flowers and arranging floral designs. She was very knowledgeable of the various types of flowers. She also loved taking long walks and enjoyed traveling.  

Myrtle will be remembered by her family as being a kind, nurturing and loving grandmother.

She leaves precious memories to her granddaughter, Tracey Butterman of Downingtown; two great granddaughters, Brittany D. Trego of Norristown, PA and Lindsay N. Butterman of Downingtown.  She was preceded in death by her one and only daughter, Frances D. Butterman who passed away in 2012.
