Joan M. Sweeney

Joan M. Sweeney, 75, of West Chester, PA, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Chester Valley Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Malvern, PA.

Born in West Chester, PA she was the oldest of eight siblings. Joan was the daughter of the late William Alphonso Price and Elizabeth Hyson Proctor Warnick. Joan was adored by her grandparents, the late Elmira Peterson Proctor, Ernest Proctor, Esther Price and Walter Price.

She was the former spouse of William Francis Sweeney, Jr. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, diet coke, watching tv, and celebrating her grandkid’s birthdays.

She is survived by her son, William Francis "Tinker" Sweeney, III of Atlantic City, NJ; daughter, Michele E. Sweeney of Coatesville, PA; brothers, Charles Jackson (Yolanda) of Lancaster, PA, Jeffrey Warnick (Gabrielle) of Long Beach, California, Isaac Warnick of Coatesville, PA; sisters, Judith M. Geiger (Hayward) of Swansea, South Carolina, Jacqueline Warnick and Andrea Warnick both of Allentown, PA, Sabrina Lewis (Charles) of Coatesville, PA; two aunts, Marion Tinson of Downingtown, PA; Evelyn Proctor of West Chester, PA; devoted nephew, Frederick Warnick; 6 grandchildren: Turquoise, Jeremy, Pedro II, Dorian Jr., Rayhan and Vinnie; 8 great grandchildren: Sincere, Selea, Jewel, Sonnia, Cash, Sierra, Zion and Ian; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM - 4 PM on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Elmwood Gardens Apartments Community Room, 100 Harlan Drive, Coatesville, PA.
