Elizabeth "Tootie" Anderson

Elizabeth Freda “Tootie” London Anderson, 70, of Coatesville, PA. passed away Friday, Sept 8, 2017 at the Neighborhood Hospice Center in West Chester, PA. She was the daughter of the late Chester Benjamin London, Sr., and Freda E. Crawford London. She was the wife of Samuel D. Anderson.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and a caregiver to many children and grandchildren. She would babysit, knit and take care of her many houseplants. She enjoyed listening to Gospel Music and was an excellent cook.  Holiday gatherings were always special at her house, where she was given the opportunity to display what she loved to do. 

She is survived by her children Christine London Dempsey, Samuel D. London, Melinda M. Anderson, Deona L. Anderson, Patricia L. Anderson and Howard J. Anderson all of Coatesville, PA; siblings, Dolores London Smith, Chester B. London Jr., and Leona J. London-Dickenson all of Coatesville, PA. She also leaves those she raised Veronica Anderson Miller, Dominique Buchanan, Kyal Hemsley, and Kyhil Butler; her aunt Pearl London; her in-laws: Terry Anderson, Rose Lopp, Shirley Thomas, Julia Anderson Perry, Dela Smith, William Anderson (Berniece) and James “Hook” Anderson; 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her siblings Frances M. London, John A. London, and a longtime companion James “Moe” Depte.

Tootie’s memory lives in the hearts of the many lives she touched. Though her presence is gone, she will not be forgotten.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday September 16, 2017 at New Generation Outreach Fellowship, 101 N. 5th Avenue, Coatesville, PA with a viewing from 9 AM-10:45. 

Interment will be private.

The family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help cover funeral expenses.
