Denise C. Reeves

Denise C. Reeves, 62, a native of Coatesville, PA, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Brandywine Hospital. 

Born March 25, 1956, in Coatesville, she was the youngest child of the late Clara R. (Curry) and William G. Reeves, Sr.

She was educated in the Coatesville Area School District.

She worked as a CNA at Brandywine Hospital for many years, until illness forced her to retire. She went to school for floral arranging and wedding coordinator.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Passtown in Coatesville where she sang in the imperial choir. She loved creating floral arrangements for the church’s special occasions. Her wreaths were in high demand.

Denise enjoyed traveling, floral design, wedding coordinating, fishing trips with family, and creating flower arrangements. She enjoyed playing cards with her club every Friday. She was a member of the Elite Riders Motorcycle club. Denise loved being at the seashore sitting and watching the ocean. She was always there for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Damika M. Reeves of Coatesville, PA; son, Steven L. Reeves, Sr. of Coatesville, PA; brothers, Min. William "Billy" G. Reeves, Jr., and Kevin T. Reeves, both of Coatesville, PA; and a sister, Beverly L.  Allen of Coatesville, PA. She also leaves her companion of many years, William Coleman of Havre de Grace, Maryland; James Stewart of Lancaster who was like her brother; six grandchildren: Steven L. Reeves, Jr., Donique Griffy, D’Angela Reeves, Denise Reeves, Tristan Reeves, Quentin L. Reeves; God-daughter, Carla V. Sellers, and “her good-good girlfriend”, Sharon Young; special niece, Ratanya Reeves and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Passtown, 117 Barber Avenue, Coatesville, PA. Visitation with the family will be held beginning at 11 AM. Please note: There will not be a public viewing.

Interment will be held privately.
