Christine Marie Crutchfield, 91, of Coatesville, PA, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Brandywine Hospital in Caln.
Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Richard O. Jackson and Elizabeth Williams Jackson. She was the widow of the late Garland D. Crutchfield with whom she shared 62 years.
Christine was employed as a Nurses Assistant at the former Embreeville State Hospital for over 30 years.
She was a faithful member of Trinity United Bible Church where she served as a Deaconess until her health began to fail. She enjoyed traveling, watching the Phillies, walking and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family; especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Sonya Crutchfield.
Christine is survived by two sons, Barry R. Crutchfield and his wife Joyce of East Fallowfield, PA; Rev. Steven E. Crutchfield and his wife Johnette of Downingtown, PA; one daughter Diane E. Norris-White and her husband James of Norristown, PA; grandchildren: Eric Norris, David Crutchfield, Carese N. Davis, Jamal Crutchfield; great-grandchildren: Jamal Crutchfield, Jr., Jianna Crutchfield, Jordyn Davis, Bryce Davis and Isla Crutchfield; Pam Taylor whom she raised and Briana Adams, who was like a granddaughter and a host of other relatives and friends.
Though our precious mother has gone on, we shall always cherish the many fond memories of her life.
Homegoing Services will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, August 12, 2019 at Trinity United Bible Church, 50 S. 8th Avenue, Coatesville, PA. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until the service time.
Interment will be held on Wednesday, August 14 at Union Hill Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA.
