Robin A. Thomas

Robin Allison Thomas, of Downingtown, PA passed away suddenly on Friday, April 5, 2024. She was 65 years old.

Robin was a graduate of the 1977 class of Downingtown Area Senior High School where she was a cheerleader and attended West Chester University.

Over the years, she worked as an administrative assistant. She was one of the first African American bank tellers at Downingtown National Bank. She also worked for Devereux Foundation and West Chester University as well as other multiple jobs.

Robin was intelligent, strong-willed, and resourceful. She had a knack with words, grammar, and numbers. She had a talent for producing creative resumes, even programs and spreadsheets. She was an excellent proofreader, always catching the errors.

She was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.  She loved social media including Facebook and Instagram. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to eat; especially her sister's Lasagna. She was affectionately known as "Aunt Byrd" to her nieces and nephews.  She was a member of Saint Paul Baptist Church in West Chester, where she served in the Visitor's Ministry.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, John Noble Thomas and Grace Trowery Thomas Burke, and nephew, Brandon. E Thomas.

She is survived by her daughter, Quynne A. Thomas; sisters, Sharon A.Thomas of Downingtown, Gail Norris Johnson (Reginald) of Kinsale, Virginia; brother, Herbert D. Thomas of Downingtown; niece Shavon A. Phipps of Downingtown; nephews: Aaron B. Norris of Downingtown, Stephon A. Norris of Honeybrook, Mark L. Norris of Coatesville, Steve A. Norris, Jr. of Coatesville, Jordan N. Thomas of Downingtown and Antonio R. Thomas of Downingtown; uncle, Lawrence A.Taylor (Arie) of Seaford, Virginia; and several great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her presence will be missed but her memory will live in our hearts forever. 

A memorial service will be planned at a later time.
