Harry Christman, Jr. Obituary

Harry B. Christman Jr, 70, of Pottstown, PA, entered into eternal rest in the embrace of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 15, 2024, at the Phoenixville Care Center, in Phoenixville, PA.

Born in Sharon, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Harry B. Christman Sr. and Wilma Christman. Harry graduated from Farrell Area High School in 1972, and furthered his education at Youngstown State University, earning accreditation from the Institute of Computer Management. On August 4, 1973, he joined in matrimony with Gloria J. Pope,  with whom he shared a union rich in love and commitment.

Harry’s professional journey was marked by distinction and accomplishment, beginning as a senior manager at Avco Financial Services and culminating in esteemed positions within the banking sector, notably, as an officer at Bank One, Youngstown, Ohio. His contributions were recognized early on by the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Harry was a man of diverse interests and passions. He found solace in the meticulous craft of model cars, reveled in the athleticism of boxing, cherished the companionship of dogs, and savored the sweetness of all things chocolate. His soul found resonance in the melodies of jazz and the uplifting spirit of gospel music.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria Christman (Mercer, PA); his daughter, Lachelle Christmas (Hermitage, PA); his sons, Harry (Ben) Christman III (Michelle) Of Coatesville, PA, and Jarel Christman Sr. (Meagan) of Pottstown, PA; his cherished mother-in-law, Callie Pope (Sharon, PA); along with 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a constellation of nieces, nephews, special, cousins, and friends.

He now rests in eternal peace, reunited with his beloved parents and sister, Leeann Christman. While Harry’s physical presence may be gone, his memory will forever reside in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, a testament to a life well-lived and a legacy of love that endures through the ages.
