Joseph Monroe Hardy, 65, of Coatesville, PA, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018, at the Coatesville VA Hospital in Caln.

A lifelong resident of Coatesville, Joe was the son of Constance D. (Gay) Hardy and the late Joseph J. Hardy. He was the husband of Ella L. Perry.

Joe was a graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High School where he ran track. He served 11 years in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant.   He was a Logistics Specialist in the Air Force. 

He was a talented Barber and Beautician. He later worked in the housekeeping department at the Coatesville VA Hospital for many years until he retired.

Joe enjoyed deep sea fishing and hunting. He also was a DJ who loved to dance and entertain.

He is survived by his wife Ella Perry of Coatesville; his mother, Constance D. (Gay) Hardy of Coatesville; son, Dana E. L. Robinson of Coatesville; daughters: Paris C. Morton of Coatesville, Tameka L. Hardy of Columbia, Nicole D. Hardy of Coatesville; son Joseph Darin Hardy of Coatesville; sisters, Lydia Hardy, Roxanne Robinson, Ellena Barnes; brothers: James Hardy, Muriell Robinson, Merrill Robinson, James Johnson and Paul Johnson; special nephews who were like sons, Carry Hardy and Eshmon Butler; 2 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his second father figure, Harold Bradford.

Services will be held 5 PM Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Hutchinson Memorial UAME Church, 825 Merchant Street, Coatesville. A viewing will be held beginning at 3 PM.

Interment will be held privately.

Flowers can be sent to the church on the day of the service. Condolence messages for the family can be shared on the guest book.
