JoAnn Baxter

JoAnn (Jody) Baxter, 85, most recently of Downingtown Pennsylvania,  went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 10th, 2017.

Born and raised in Woodstown, New Jersey,  Jody is survived by her husband of 62 years, William J. (Jim) Baxter, Jr.; her daughter, Elizabeth C. Baxter of Boston, Massachusetts; her son, Jim Baxter and his wife Patti of West Chester, Pennsylvania; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Jody excelled in athletics and was a member of the NJ State choir in her youth.  She was a long term volunteer with disabled children and was active in Ladies’ Bible Study.

She loved travelling and camping with her family and especially enjoyed Cape May, NJ.    She was active in the lives of her children and grandchildren and enjoyed attending many performances and athletic events.

The family wishes to thank those who helped care for their mother, especially the kind and caring staff of St. Martha Villa and AseraCare Hospice.

The family is planning a Memorial Service to be held later this Spring.

“For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the Earth;  And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another."  Job 19:25-27
