Eddie Joseph Lawrence

Eddie Joseph Lawrence, 69, of Coatesville, PA passed away Friday, June 23, 2017, at the VA Medical Center in Coatesville, PA.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Leon Lawrence and Althea Smith Lawrence.
Eddie was educated within the Upper Moreland School District and graduated from Upper Moreland High School.  After High School, he joined the United States Navy where he served until he was honorably discharged.  After fulfilling his Military assignment Eddie began work as a truck driver for the Wissahickon Spring Water Company and worked there for many years. 

He loved to play basketball and enjoyed all types of sports.
Eddie is survived by two daughters: Celeste Tolbert and her husband Willie Tolbert of Willow Grove, PA and Danielle A. Lawrence of Philadelphia, PA; son, Sheldon Bookard of Horsham, PA; two sisters, Sharon Lawrence and Virginia Lawrence both of Upper Moreland, PA; a brother, James Lawrence of Washington, DC.; 5 grandchildren: Ashley Lawrence, T’onna Tolbert, Amir Bookard, Jayden Bookard and Layla Bookard and other relatives and friends.
 
Graveside Services with full Military Honors will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940.
