"The difference between a good hair cut and a bad one...is two weeks." -  Don Peoples

The Obituary

Donald Ray Peoples, “Don”, 66, of Coatesville, PA, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at his home.  Born in Birmingham, Alabama, he was the son of Annie Clara and Elbert Peoples, and the wife of Renee L. Taltoan Peoples.

Don was a self-employed Barber.  He was the owner of Peoples Barbershop in Coatesville, PA.   He served in the United Stated Navy until he was honorably discharged.

He loved spending time with his family.  He also loved to travel and work on cars.  He was comical, was straight to the point, and had a dry sense of humor.

Don loved kids and would take them to the local stores and treat them to candy and other goodies try to make a difference in their lives.

Don was a good provider, and he loved to cut hair.  Once he cut your hair, he was your barber.  He was good with his hands and was always building and fixing things.  He loved to listen to jazz music and the oldies.  His favorite football team was the Dallas “Cowboys”.  Most of all Don was known to be a keen observer.  Whatever he said, that was that.

Surviving him are his daughters, Donyell Taltoan of Lancaster PA, and SaSheen Varel Clark Welsh (Darren) of NJ; his wife Renee L. Peoples of Coatesville; his mother, Annie Clara Peoples of Detroit, Michigan; his siblings: Gloria J. Peoples, Brenda J. Peoples, Alexis G. Kaines and Michael W. Peoples of Detroit Michigan; four grandchildren: Marquise Taltoan, William Joseph. Jr., Kaylyn Sabre Welsh and Kelsey Simone Welsh; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Don was preceded in death by one daughter Marquette “Poo-Poo” Taltoan; and a brother, Errol B. Peoples.

Services will be at 11 AM Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Coatesville VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA, with a viewing from 9 AM -11 AM.

Interment will be private.
